What is ACM?
The Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) is the world's leading educational and scientific computing society. With cutting-edge publications, conferences, and career resources, ACM provides its members with opportunities to lead and excel in the exciting field of computer science. Founded at the beginning of the computer age, ACM has grown into an international community with over 100,000 members. With councils in the United States, Europe, India, and China, it is easier than ever to network with students and professionals across the globe.
We give our members numerous ways to develop themselves and acquire knowledge beyond their school
curriculum.
To achieve this, we engage the students of CSUN through various workshops, guest speakers and seminars
to
ensure that
they get that extra push that they need to become the professionals they want to be in the future.
Not studying computer science? No problem! At ACM, all the workshops are hands-on and everybody can
attempt
and most
importantly, learn!
We cultivate a supportive and inclusive environment for all members, regardless
of
their
backgrounds.
At ACM, we're all about helping students grow professionally through connections with industry partners. Our meetings and events are great opportunities to learn about different companies and explore various career paths. We work hard and play hard, creating a balanced and enjoyable experience for everyone. Our member's calendar is packed with weekly events that encourage you to get involved and have fun. From casual meet-ups to engaging activities, there's always something exciting happening at ACM.
